Tuesday Evenings in June Lanequests

Lanequests are orienteering events for cycles (road bikes or mtb) all on country lanes, with a similar format to a score event. Competitors have 2 hours to collect as many controls as possible, scoring 10 points per control, and are penalised for late return. For those with a more relaxed approach, there is a non-competitive class.
You need : A road worthy bike, cycling helmet, map case or map board, and a watch. A pre-marked, A4 colour OS map 1:25,000 or 1:50,000 is provided. Also money for entry (and pub/cafe afterwards!)
Starts are from 5.30 - 7pm, ie LAST finish 9pm
Cost TCA members - £3 Non TCA - £4
12-17yrs - £2

Guided Walks from the Cafe

These walks are led by a National Park Voluntary Warden and run from the Café on Fridays and Sundays starting at 11 am throughout the Spring, Summer and Autumn. They are 'Free'!

The Saunders Lakeland Mountain Marathon

A 2-day mountain marathon event for teams of 2, covering high fell terrain in the Lake District. There is a choice of different courses, of varying length. Lots more information including a downloadable entry form on our new web-site.
