Paul Allan emailed to say: "Thanks again for organising a really good event. It was the weather that made it, there was some excellent scenery looking back up towards Grizedale and the Lakes, but the highlight for me was heading south from control 23 around Burney Fell and the view down the Duddon Estuary. This was topped by a buzzard soaring casually past.
I managed to break my personal best speed record coming down Kirkby Moor, I clocked 52 mph past Gawthwaite. I felt the controls were well distributed providing plenty of route choice and strategic planning. Plenty of contours, ups and downs, all ideal stuff. I also felt that the controls were generally easy to find and well described, taking a lot of the guesswork out of locating them."
