Eden Valley section of the CTC The Eden Valley Section of the CTC (we call ourselves EVCTC) caters primarily for cyclists in Cumbria's Eden Valley which comprises Penrith, Appleby and Kirkby Stephen, but also includes many out of area riders from Carlisle, Cockermouth, Barnard Castle and the Scottish borders.
We ride every Wednesday and Sunday.

Kendal Mountaineering Club (KMC) Is in an active and friendly Kendal based club. We hold regular meets throughout the year locally and beyond.As well as drinking & climbing, members participate in many other outdoor activities such as, walking, ice climbing, skiing, MTB, bouldering, fell running, basically anything outdoors & in the hills.

We meet, socially, every Thursday at the Castle Inn, Castle Street, Kendal from about 9.30 onwards; you can get a map here In winter you will usually find some of us at Kendal Wall before just to work up a thirst. In summer, we organise a series of meets on local crags, weather permitting.

He is a professionally qualified Mountain Instructor (MIA) holds the Winter Mountain Leader certificate, and is a member of the Association of Mountain Instructors.

We can help you improve your navigation skills; explore the high peaks of Snowdonia, the Lakes or Scotland; develop from hill walker to scrambler; make the transition from indoors climbing to outside rock; or discover the techniques for multi-pitch climbing.
Ascent Training - Instruction & Guiding Based in the Lake District Ascent Training offers high quality instruction and guiding for rock climbing, winter climbing, winter walking, scrambling and caving. Our mountaineering courses are primarily run in the Lake District and the caving courses are generally run in the Yorkshire Dales. However courses or guiding can take place anywhere in the UK and also overseas. Our range of courses caters for the complete novice, those wishing to gain more experience and experienced climbers, walkers and cavers wishing to learn more advanced skills, improve performance, or visit new areas.

Having retired from many years in the outdoor retail trade, his time is now spent out in the mountains working as a freelance landscape photographer. Jon has had a lifelong passion for photography within the mountain environment, which he has since developed into a business through his company, Mountainscenes.

Derwent Valley Cycling Club Derwent Valley Cycling Club is based in Cumbria's Lake District and presently has a small, active and, above all, friendly membership.

DVCC is situated within the Derwent Valley which covers an area from Keswick to the river's outlet at Workington. Our activities also take in the neighbouring Solway Plain and Eden Valley areas offering members some of the United Kingdom's most stunning scenery, varied terrain and quiet roads on which to enjoy their cycling.

Club members regularly participate in UK cyclo sportives, challenge rides, time trials and weekly club runs.

All ages and abilities are catered for by the club and new members are always more than welcome
